“Fear stifles our thinking and actions. It creates indecisiveness that results in stagnation. I have known talented people who procrastinate indefinitely rather than risk failure. Lost opportunities cause erosion of confidence, and the downward spiral begins.”
― Charles Stanley
A quote I posted recently on facebook, probably not read by a single so called friend of mine. Even if read, probably not pondered upon. I just reread it, repondered as well.
I know someone that has spent 1/3 of their life working towards a goal. They recently received some bad news that things were not going to go as planned. There was a slight possibility they not receive their hard earned Phd this spring. I believe they inherited my propensity to lose confidence…..and the downward spiral begins. If you stop believing in yourself now, where are you going to go from here.
Spirals are pretty cool looking things. Playground slides are spirals. They are fun to go down, and fun to climb up as well. Remember when you could run up with the traction from your sneaks. You were too young to knew what parkour was. You just flew up the slide because you believed you could.
